Hi there! If you've made it this far, its pretty evident I'm all about photo taking, love, and good light. So here's all the good stuff that makes me me, adds to my art, and creates the experience that I provide to clients.
Most days you can find me bouncing between my house in downtown Columbia, and my office in Irmo. When I'm not meeting with brides, editing photos, or scouting out amazing shoot locations, you can find me in a little office doing what I love. I love connecting with people, so in addition to photography, I practice as a clinical counselor in the private sector. This life in dual careers have given me a unique perspective when it comes to documenting important days. I sit with people in their darkest moments, and I celebrate with them during their best days. I honor both the highs and the lows, I value both of their importance, and I'm here for it all.
People often refer to me as creative, compassionate, and their own personal cheerleader. During a typical session, you'll be sure to hear me squeal, laugh, cheer you on, and tell you how dang good your doing. Once you hear me snort while I'm laughing, be sure that you've found a friend for life.
I love serving the world by being present. For a while, I was under the misconception that therapy was my "important work" and photography was what I did to de-stress and take care of myself. Y'all, I couldn't be more wrong. If I've learned anything throughout my counseling career, it's that its important to cling to hope, remember joy, and practice gratitude. Documenting the most important seasons of your life is I way I can serve you best and give you a tangible source of joy, hope, and gratitude.
Things I've most passionate about in life are things that are close to my heart. Foster care, adoption and supporting families while they love their children well is so important to me. The visibility, affirmation, and support of the LGBTQIA community is also so essential to me. My coming out story was one of the scariest, hardest, and most challenging periods of my life. It's so important to me to continue to invest in the community that has welcomed me with open arms.
When I'm not busy with work, you can find me making a mess in my kitchen while I cook for people I love, cuddling with my dogs- Goober and Darling, and finding outrageous home improvement projects that I have no business trying to do on my own. Seriously, who do I think I am?
