I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!

My blogging queue may be miles long, but that's fine. Over the next couples months I'm gonna be working my booty off to finally post all of wonderful humans I've had the chance to photograph this winter.
I can't think of a better place to start than Kaylynn's bridal portraits. I met Kaylynn the year I moved to Columbia. We were able to stay in touch on social media and I was beyond thrilled when she asked me to photograph her marriage to John. Kaylynn is fun, and creative, and is a classic beauty. Our time at the State House in Columbia, South Carolina was so sweet. There is truly nothing better than making clients feel like a queen.
So here is the thing with bridals. You really can't go wrong with them. It's a win-win all the way around. It gives brides an opportunity to do a trial run on everything- hair, make up, dress, the works. I have seen so many brides who have switched HMU artists or have fallen even more in love after these sessions. It gives ladies a chance to be in their dress for an extended period of time and provides a chance to do more alterations in the need arises. It gives us a few more hours together to build comfort and trust.
One reason I love working on bridals goes beyond all of this. So much in our culture drives in the idea that weddings are all about the bride, when in reality, its a celebration of love and commitment between two people. Bridals provide that fairy tale day for brides. Its all about you, and that's the way it should be. We laugh and celebrate, and give you a chance to soak it all it. I've had so many brides tell me that they are able to be more present, more focused, and more connected on their wedding day because they had a bridal portrait experience. And if you know me, you know I can get behind that 100%.
